Public Health

DotWell offers an array of Public Health programs and support groups to patients and members of the community, through our collaborative partnership with the Codman Square Health Center and the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center.

Please keep in mind that most of our programs are held at our partners, the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center and Codman Square Health Center. However, some are held at affiliate sites in the neighborhood. Please click the links below for more information on what we offer, including exact location, dates and times, and enrollment information.

Diabetes

Learn about healthy eating through our our hands-on nutrition programs: Cooking Classes, Healthy Eating for Diabetes at Codman Square Health Center, and Everyday Eating for Diabetics at Dorchester House Multi-Service Center. Learn about healthy eating and healthy finances at the same time with our Eat Green Save Green program.

Food Security

Our Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays 10am-2pm at Codman Square Health Center and Tuesdays (senior citizens) 11:30am-12:00pm and Wednesdays (all) 8:00am-10:00am at Dorchester House Multi-Service Center.

HIV

You can get on-site HIV counseling and testing anytime during our business hours. Our HIV Programming also provides outreach, education, counseling and testing services within the clinics and in community settings on a regular basis. You are welcome to join our HIV Support Group.

Support Groups

Are you a new parent? Participate in Healthy Start, Parent to Parent, and Welcome Baby. For all our Dorchester Dads, we have a fantastic support network of fathers through Dot Dads. We also serve our Dorchester Moms through the Drop-in Mom’s Group, which provides education, a support structure, and a way to connect to services. All are welcome to join our Alcoholics Anonymous Group, or participate in our HIV Support Group.
