Alcoholics Anonymous AA meetings are held at the Dorchester House every Monday and Wednesday. See the front desk for room location. Dot Dads is made possible through our partnership with The Family Nurturing Center. Location: Availability: For more information, please contact: Drop-in Mom’s Group The Dorchester House Multi-Service Center Mom’s Group offers a free support group for new and expecting moms in a nurturing community. Participants have the chance to connect with other moms and receive breastfeeding support and health and parenting education. The Group is made possible through our partnership with WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), the Boston Public Health Commission, and Tufts Medical Center’s Parent-to-Parent Program. Eligibility: Location and Hours: Fridays 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information, contact: Healthy Start The Boston Healthy Start program is a great way for women to learn about their pregnancy and prepare for motherhood. We provide social, emotional and life skills support to pregnant women during pregnancy and up until the child’s second birthday. Services include one-on-one counseling and support, parenting classes, home visits as appropriate, referrals to programs, and follow-up phone calls. Parent to Parent Parent to Parent individual and group sessions allow parents to share stories and advice with others, helping their children and family to thrive. We provide numerous expert resources as well as home visits, as approproiate.
