Food Pantry

Founded to promote high quality nutritious meals to Dorchester residents, the Codman Square Health Center and Dorchester House Multi Service Center Food Pantries continue the mission of serving the community by providing weekly meals to those in need.

Operating out of 450 Washington Street in Dorchester, Codman Square Health Center Pantry serves clients on Tuesday mornings from 10am - 2pm. contact Michelle Rue at 617-822-8369 for more information.

Dorchester House Multi Service Center Pantry serves Seniors on Tuesday mornings from 8am - 10am, and the general public on Wednesday mornings from 8am - 10am at 1353 Dorchester Ave. Please contact Maria Fontenez at 617 288- 3230 ext. 2203 for more information.

Breast Health Program

The DotWell Breast Health Program focuses on bringing information to the public on the importance of obtaining mammograms and conducting breast self exams on a regular basis, in an effort to make possible early diagnosis and treatment of abnormalities that can lead to breast cancer. Food Stamp Program

The DotWell Food Stamp Program allows community members to check eligibility and apply for food stamps on line. Eligibility is confirmed on the spot with very little information. For more information contact Daisy Crespo at 617-822-8367.

Boston Healthy Start Initiative

Operating out of Codman Square Health Center, the Boston Healthy Start Initiative provides case management, home visiting and advocacy services to pregnant woman of color, from pregnancy until two years post-partum. Parent to Parent

The Parent to Parent program at Codman Square Health Center provides financial, and social advocacy services to pregnant women from pregnancy until the child's second birthday. For more information contact Daisy Crespo at 617 822-8367.

Nurturing Program

The Nurturing Program at Dorchester House Multi Service Center provides parenting education classes for families who desire to improve their parenting skills. The 15 week program focuses on issues that present a challenge to parents and provides solutions to decrease stress factors. Welcome Baby

The Welcome Baby Program provides one time home visits to new parents. Participants receive information on services in the community that are available to assist them. For more information contact Houng Luu at 617 288- 3230 ext. 2617.
